WyePads - iPad and Computer lessons

So you've got a mobile / iPad / laptop. How are you getting on with it? Have you mastered the basics but lack the knowledge or confidence to do more? Or has someone given you one insisting "it's easy", but you're terrified to use it? Either way you can rest assured - you are not alone! Whichever category you fall into, I can help.

Lessons are held at my house in Cusop (I will give you directions when you book your first lesson). You can either come on your own or, if you have a friend who is at a similar level and has the same sort of device, you can come along together and halve the cost!

Total Beginners level

I offer friendly, slow-but-sure 'Total Beginners' lessons for complete beginners who have never used email or the internet before. Lessons can cover things like personalising your device; using the keyboard; connecting to wifi; emailing; taking and sharing photos; and how to download and use apps. These lessons will go at a gentle pace, with ample time for lots of practice, and will only move to the next level when you are ready. There is no set plan - you decide what you would like learn. If you simply want to be able to send and receive emails and watch programmes you've missed on BBC iPlayer then that's all we'll do - there's absolutely no pressure to do anything you don't wish to do (well not from me anyway!).

Beginners Plus level

If you are familiar with emailing and have used the internet, even if only a little, then Beginners Plus is your level. I can show you how the different devices do these things; how to use apps like Photos, Notes and Contacts; and how to personalise your device so that it behaves and looks how you want it to.

Build on the Basics level

This level is for those who are confident with using email and the internet but who would like help with getting the most from their device. These lessons can cover all the things people commonly want to do with their devices, including plenty of tips and tricks to make things easier. 'Settings' will no longer hold any fears for you and Photos will be a doddle! Come with a list of questions, or relax and be shown some simple 'tricks' you might not have come across. People have commented that these lessons are a bit like going to a fireworks display because of the chorus of oohs and aahs!

Laptops

I also offer friendly, 1-to-1 tuition on getting started with your laptop or desktop computer or using Word, Excel, email etc.
